The current healthcare crisis has, for many citizens, meant living a completely new and unknown situation. An unexpected experience for which nobody had prepared us.
However, if we review the recent history of epidemics in the world, we realise that there are quite a lot of peoples affected by infectious diseases: cholera, dengue, malaria and Ebola, among others, are some of the agents that cause thousands of deaths every day.
David Noguera, president of Metges Sense Fronteres (Doctors Without Borders), will be in conversation with Lídia Heredia, journalist, on how we this medical-humanitarian organisation manages situations of epidemiological emergency and how the coronavirus pandemic has been dealt with in this context.
