Marc Rosich

Barcelona, 1973

A graduate in Journalism and Translation (UAB) and currently artistic director of Òpera de Butxaca i Nova Creació, Marc Rosich trained in dramatic writing at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett. As an author he has premiered, among other works, Car Wash (2011), Rive Gauche (2011), N&N (2008), Party Line (2006), Surabaya (Runner-up for the Fundació Romea Prize 2004) and Copi i Ocaña (2004). A regular collaborator of Calixto Bieito, with him he has co-authored the stage adaptations of the shows Forests by Shakespeare (2012, Birmingham), Camino Real by T. Williams (2012, Chicago, nomination for the Jeff Awards in the best stage adaptation category), El gran teatro del mundo by Calderón (2011, Freiburg), Voices (2010, Copenhagen), Don Carlos by Schiller (2009, Mannheim), Tirant lo Blanc by J. Martorell (2007, Crítica BCN Prize for best stage adaptation) and Plataforma by M. Houllebecq (Edinburgh). He has also put his name to the stage adaptations of Hedda Gabler (Teatre Lliure), Falstaff (CDN), Mequinensa (TNC), Pedra de Tartera (TNC), Mort de Dama (TNC) and L’Odissea (Grec).
