Aura Foguet Seguí
Aura Foguet Seguí (1995) is a playwright, director, scriptwriter and actress. She trained in Performance and Direction and Dramaturgy at the Eòlia Higher School of Drama, as well as at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett and the Estudi Laura Jou, among others.
In 2019 she founded her company La Viciosa, with which she has premiered and produced many shows. In 2020 she premiered her first piece, ALHAYAT o la suma dels dies, at El Maldà under her own direction and written with Laia Foguet. The play was performed for three seasons and extensively toured through Catalonia and the Balearic Islands until 2023 and won the Novaveu Theatre Critics Prize 2020.
In 2022 she wrote and directed Qui no s’atreveix a tremolar, a project selected in the call of Teatres de Proximitat, which was premiered at El Maldà.
In 2023 she participated in the 9th Playwriting Tournament of the Balearic Islands with Chaise Longue LC4 and was director’s assistant on La Punta de l’iceberg by La Virgueria, premiered at El Maldà.
Her outstanding acting projects include El futur, written and directed by Joan Yago (Teatre Eòlia, 2018 and 2019; Escenari Joan Brossa, 2019; revived at the Sala Versus Glòries in 2025) and the short films Ca Nostra (Biznaga de Plata Mujeres en Escena Award at the Málaga Film Festival 2020) and Ritos de amor y guerra (Comando Señoras), premiered in 2019, which is still running.
Currently, thanks to the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, she is writing an audiovisual drama series, among other projects.
