Gemma Rodríguez

Playwright and scriptwriter. She has worked as director’s assistant on several productions and has formed part of the artistic direction team of the festival Sitges Teatre Internacional-CC. As a playwright, her premieres include T’estimaré Infinittt (Teatre Nacional de Catalunya), Estem quedant fatal (Teatre Tantarantana and Porto International Theatre Festival) and L’ham (Sala Beckett and Teatre l’Alegria de Terrassa). She has received the awards María Teresa León 2002 from the ADE and Serra d’Or de la Crítica 2008. In 2004 she was resident playwright at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and has recently participated in an international playwriting workshop at the Royal Court in London. She is founding member of the association of women creators Projecte Vaca.
