Ignasi García i Barba
A graduate in History of Art and holder of a Diploma in Acting, he attended numerous Playwriting Seminars taught by José Sanchis Sinisterra at the Sala Beckett.
He has published 20 works, prominent among which are Mars de Gespa/La Finestra/Sota Terra (2008), Marina/Preludi en dos temps/El bosc que creix (2006), Rutas de alto riesgo (2006), El chip experimental (2007), Futur perfecte (2006), Reconstrucció dels fets (2000), La decisió de Vilaneta (1999), Camí de Tombuctú (1994) and Amanecer en Orán (1994).
He has worked as scriptwriter for the following series: Estació d’enllaç (TVC), Compañeros (Antena 3), El Cor de la Ciutat (TVC), Un paso adelante (Antena 3), Los Serrano (Telecinco), Yo soy Bea (Telecinco) or Bandolera (Antena 3).
Prizes: Second prize at the SGAE Prize for children’s and young people’s theatre, 2005, Buero Vallejo Prize 2004, Max Prize for New stage tendencies 2004 with the group Teatro del Común, Second prize at the Ciutat d’Alcoi Prize 1995 and runner-up at the Teatro Breve Prize 1994.
