Irene Herráez
Irene Herráez (Madrid, 1995) graduated in Playwriting and Direction at RESAD and in Modern Languages, Culture and Communication at UAM, and holds a master’s degree in Theatre and Performing Arts from UCM.
In 2023 she premiered her immersive audio piece mirar at the Teatro del Bosque in Móstoles, later shown at the Sala Ultramar in Valencia. That same year at the Auditorium of the Museo del Prado she presented Calor + Cerocomaocho + Invisibles + Meninas, her series of micro-operas in collaboration with the Madrid Higher Music School. In late 2022 Antígona published her comedy Flying free. O cómo no suicidarse, within Piezas breves. Estudiantes RESAD 2021-2022, which she staged in 2023. Since 2013, he has participated as director’s assistant, actress, singer and dramaturg in text-based, musical, micro-theatre and improvisation productions.
She has been finalist of the 4th Playwriting Residences of the CDN and at present she is working as a professor-facilitator at the Universidad Camilo José Cela.
