Jamie Hornsby
Jamie Hornsby is an award-winning playwright, actor and composer. He recently won the David Williamson Award for Excellence in Writing for Australian Theatre, alongside an AWGIE award for his play Claire Della and the Moon. He has written for State Theatre Company South Australia and ActNow Theatre for their Decameron 2.0 project, and won the 2018 STCSA Young Playwrights Award. He was the runner up for the Australian Theatre Festival’s New Play Award in 2020. He has been frequently commissioned by Jopuka Productions, one of Australia’s leading youth arts companies. He runs an innovative new theatre company, Madness of Two, alongside frequent collaborator Ellen Graham. He has been described in Stage Whispers as “a major voice in Australian playwriting” and in The Barefoot Review as “one of the most promising young playwrights in Australia today.”
