Jordi Prat i Coll

(Girona, 1975)

Jordi Prat i Coll holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UPF and in Stage Directing and Playwriting from the Institut del Teatre (with Honours). He has written and directed the plays Roundabout (Recull Prize 2000), Obra vista, M’he llegit, La festa, De quan somiava and Com arribar a casa. He has also translated works by Copi, Caryl Churchill, Ayub Khan-Din, Richard Nelson and Lucy Prebble. Prominent among the plays he has directed are Els tres aniversaris (Sala Villarroel), La fortuna de Sílvia and Liceistes i Cruzados (Teatre Nacional de Catalunya), Una còpia (Teatre Lliure, Butaca Prize for Best Show, 2007), Quartett (Sala Atrium, nominated for the Butaca Prizes, 2011) and Lluny (Sala Beckett). He teaches at the Institut del Teatre, at Eòlia and at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett.
