After training at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona, he worked as a teacher of acting and drama at many universities and colleges inside and outside of Catalonia. As author and director, highlights among his works include Jocs d’artifici (1987), La trobada (1994), Quan els paisatges de Cartier-Bresson (1995), Una pluja irlandesa (1995), Deserts (1996), Maleïts (1998), Nina (2001), Les portes del cel (2004) and La tanca (2007). Many of them have been translated into and performed in other languages. Throughout his career he has also received numerous awards including the Barcelona Critics Prize for Deserts, the Critics Prize at the International Festival of Chile for Una lluvia irlandesa and the Serra d’Or Critics Prize for Les portes del cel.
