Julian Karenga

Julian Karenga has been a playwright-in-residence at the Norwegian Centre for New Playwrighting since 2022. Karenga graduated with a BA hons degree in Acting from the Liverpool institute for Performing Arts in 2018, and has since written four plays. His debut as a playwright was with the staging of Snøbrun (Black Ice), co-produced by Unge Viken along with two other theatres. Karenga most recently directed his newest play Veien sitt ansikt (Teach me again to dream), which premiered during the Arctic Arts Festival 2023.
