Oliver Kluck
(Bergen, Island of Rügen, Germany, 1980)
After completing his vocational training, he went on to study civil engineering in Rostock. He quit in 2006 to attend Leipzig University, where he studied writing prose, dramatic art and new media. In May 2009, Kluck’s play Das Prinzip Meese won him a fellowship for young playwrights from the Berliner Theatertreffen. In autumn 2010, Kluck received an invitation to the workshop days (Werkstatttage) of the Vienna Burgtheater. In 2011 he was awarded the BDI-Dramatikerpreis for emerging playwrights. Oliver Kluck currently lives in Berlin. His latest play is Mein Name ist Programm (2012), Der Hund des alten Mannes and Das Scheißleben meines Vaters, das Scheißleben meiner Mutter und meine eigene Scheißjugend (2014).
