Oriol Puig Grau

Author and director born in Barcelona (1992). He won the Revelation Award at Barcelona’s Performing Arts Critic’s Awards after writing and directing Karaoke Elusia, a show about bullying and teen suicide that opened at Sala Beckett in December 2020. He co-wrote and directed El sitio de Otto, a coming-of-age film that premiered at the BCN Film Fest in June 2020 and was screened at the Atlántida Film Fest, Cinespaña, the London Spanish Film Festival and Reteena. He adapted Pol Guasch’s Napalm in the Heart for the stage and translated Molly Taylor’s Cacophony into Catalan. He was a member of Els Malnascuts during its 3rd edition, wrote one of the stories that were included in Centro Dramático Nacional’s Dramawalker and was one of the artists in the 14th edition of Creadors ENRESiDÈNCiA. He is the winner of 2023’s Calderón de la Barca Theatre Award for Massa brillant.
