Sasha Marianna Salzmann

Sasha Marianna Salzmann is a novelist, playwright, essayist and curator. Salzmann’s theatre works (among which there is Mameloschn Mother Tongue, which could be seen at Sala Beckett in 2016) have been translated into more than 20 languages and have been awarded, among others, with the Academy of the Arts’ Art Prize for Theater 2020. In 2017, the debut novel Außer sich was published and translated into 16 languages. In autumn 2021, Im Menschen muss alles herrlich sein was published. Both novels were nominated for the German Book Prize. In 2022 Sasha Marianna Salzmann was awarded with the Prize of Literaturhäuser for their “exceptional oeuvre”.
