Teresa Dopler

Teresa Dopler was born 1990 in Upper Austria, she studied “Sprachkunst” at the University of Fine Arts and „Theater, Film and Media“ at the University of Vienna. Her debut play, Was wir wollen, was staged 2017 in Landestheater Innsbruck. In 2019 she was awarded the Author’s Prize of Heidelberger Stückemarkt for her play Das weiße Dorf. That same year she won the Peter-Turrini Stipendium for her play Monte Rosa. Her plays have been translated into English and French. She has received several scholarships and she has been published in literature magazines and on public broadcast (among others, the adaption of Das weiße Dorf as a radio play by RBB. She takes part in the course Forum TEXT by Drama Forum 2018-20 and in 2019 took part in the International Residency for Emerging Playwrights at the Royal Court Theater in London. Teresa Dopler is currently living in Vienna.
