Yaiza Berrocal Guevara

Yaiza Berrocal Guevara is a playwright and a screenwriter, lactose intolerant and a fan of frozen foods.

She studied Literary Theory at the University of Barcelona and has a master’s degree in Hispano-American Literature and another in Film Scriptwriting.

She is the author of the plays Ni temeré les feres (winner of a Carlota Soldevila Grant from the Teatre Lliure 2021) and La croada dels infants: remake de les visions de Schwob (Arsènic, Granollers, 2018), as well as the text of Cartografia del cos estrany (Sala La Planeta, Girona, 2019). She has published the novel Curling (Hurtado y Ortega, 2022). She has also worked on cinema scripts and television fiction.

With La cadena del frío she won the National Calderón de la Barca Award 2020.
