Artistic Residence of Italian Playwright Irene Petra Zani

The Italian author Irene Petra Zani is coming back to Sala Beckett in a creative residence to work on her play IL BAMBOLO – dov’è più facile guardare. During 2 weeks, a team formed by the playwright herself, translator Joan Casas, staged director Loredana Volpe and actress Enka Alonso are going to work on the play.

Irene Petra Zani was born in Bergamo in 1986 and graduated in Playwriting from the Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi in Milan. She has worked and collaborated as playwright and as assistant director with several theatre companies and artistic collectives, including dance companies (Teatro i, Fattoria Vittadini, Atopos Compagnia teatrale, Fragile Artists Performing Photography, Compagnia delle Furie and, more recently, The Baby Walk). She is an author for Playstorm and Mitos21, projects led by Fausto Paravidino for the National Theatre of Turin.
